new LP and CD this October 18?

Post by Chris »

Hi everyone,
I've just noticed that there's an announcement on the Chris Rea's Facebook page about a special bundle (LP and CD) titled "One Fine Day", scheduled for release on October 18, 2019, by RHINO, CO. UK. Had anyone heard or seen this someplace else?
Best regards to all of you,
Chris

Here's the pre-order link for the albums at the official Rhino Shop (in German...:)). Looks pretty interesting - although I'm missing Urban Samurai on the Auberge Deluxe (ok, I know that it was released during the Water Sign era).

Greetings

Wow! A treasure trove, it seems. I guess, some of us will buy the double CD albums as collection items, especially since they'll contain "previously unreleased songs and rarities." One could have the collection of five double CDs for €75.00 plus "One Fine Day" (LP & CD) for €27.00.

Andrey, I remember you writing about this previously unreleased material from an album which I believe was supposed to be called 'Smile'. I guess they are exactly the very songs we were discussing at that time! I wonder whether it has something to do with your efforts or those of that younger friend of yours who was invited on stage in Moscow. Or is it just a coincidence that exactly these songs are finally released?

I think someone used Andrey his idea. I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think he won't get the credits.
So lets show here it was all the work he did, that brought us this.

I think these are songs from The Lost Tapes rather than Smiler?

I wonder whether a cd only option will become available later...I have no need for vinyl but would like to have the album.

The inclusion of Josephine on four of the sets seems odd too.

Overall though, great to see some action from Warner / Rhino
